The voting period is generally divided into three phases: early voting, advance voting and voting on election day. During early and advance voting, you may vote for other municipality councils in Grimstad (you vote will count in the municipality in which you are registered). On election day, only voting for Grimstad municipality council and Agder county council is allowed in Grimstad.
Early voting
From July 3rd to August 9th, early voting is open by appointment at Grimstad town hall (rådhuset) for those who are unable to vote during the advance voting period or on election day. Call 37 25 03 00 to schedule an appointment to vote early.
Advance voting
From August 10th to September 8th, a polling station is open for advance voting at Grimstad town hall (rådhuset). It is not necessary to schedule an appointment. Opening hours are:
- Monday - Friday 09.00–17.00
- Saturday August 26th 10.00–15.00
- Saturday September 2nd 10.00–15.00
- Sundays closed
In addition, polling stations will open on set dates at the following locations for advance voting:
Advance voting at home under certain circumstances
Some voters may be physically or otherwise unable to vote at one of the polling stations. They may request to vote at home, in which case voting officials may come to their residence providing a safe option to cast their vote.

Voting on election day:
On September 11th, polling stations will be open from 10.00–20.00 at seven different locations in Grimstad municipality. You may cast your vote in any of the locations.
